Clarissa Explains It All
Janet
Clarissa's mom, Janet, is into health food, exercise, and just about any other fad that comes her family's way. For example, she once read in a cookbook that an apple a day does, in fact, keep the doctor away. So Janet decided to put apples in every meal the Darling family ate. There were apples sauteed in red onions, for example, and who could forget her "apples and beef puree."
Of course, all of these recipes reflect Janet's mission to keep her family healthy. And that isn't easy, especially when you've got kids as different as Ferguson and Clarissa.
Although Janet loves Clarissa, she doesn't always understand her. And Ferguson? Well, somehow, Ferg manages time and time again to trick his mom into believing he's the world's most perfect kid. We can all be fooled from time to time.
